Each August we run the All Blaby Churches Holiday Club week on behalf of Churches Together in Blaby.
We have a theme for the week which includes studying a Bible character or Bible stories through video's, craft activities, songs and story time.
We also bring in professionals to arrange sports or dancing and offer opportunities for cooking, team games and outside play.
A small charge is made to cover the cost of the materials used during the week. We can keep this low as most helpers are volunteering their time.
All helpers are DBS checked.
The 2026 Holiday Club will run from 3rd - 7th August - BOOK NOW
Our theme will be Kingdom Builders (and focus on Lego and building from boxes etc). The stories we will be looking at will be God creating the world, Noah and his Ark, the building of Solomon’s Temple and the parable of wise and foolish builders. Finally we will round the week off by talking about us as living stones.
Monday, Tuesday and Thursday we will be open from 9.30 to 12.30pm, on Wednesday we will provide lunch and finish at 2.30pm and on Friday we invite you to join your children for a picnic and open air service on Bouskell Park at 12pm.
On Monday the main activity is cooking and we have booked Hayley for dancing on Tuesday and Henry the Skipper to lead a skipping session on Thursday as that is always enjoyed by the children.
On Wednesday, we will do ‘Rhythm time’ again with Jen Taylor, lunch will be sausages, fishfingers and chips and then we will play games on the field until 2.30pm.
Stokes School will allow us to use their playing field again, and we can use that every day for active play.
At the church the children will be cooking, playing games and making items to take home from provided craft materials. There is also time where they will listen to stories, watch films, sing and take part in quizzes.
Drinks and biscuits are supplied during the morning.
On Friday, we will walk the children to Bouskell Park at 12pm for a short open air service, where we will share the learning and activities of the week with parents, carers and church members. This is followed by a picnic, and if you wish to stay for the fun, please bring a blanket and picnic food.
A small charge is made to cover the cost of the materials used during the week. You will be notified of cost and methods of payment when we contact you for essential information about your child after you sign up.
You can be assured that all helpers are DBS checked.
Open to all children in Primary School! Book Now to ensure your place!
