Harvest Weekend 3rd & 4th October 2026
This year our harvest will be on the weekend 3rd/4th October.
There will be a coffee morning on Saturday 3rd October, where tea, coffee, biscuits and toasted teacakes will be on offer. We will also have a stall with various items for sale including cakes.
All are welcome to join us from 10 am in the morning as we raise money for the WaterAid charity.
Earlier in the week the staging will be assembled for the harvest display, please bring your donations of harvest produce for the display to the coffee morning. During and following the coffee morning Vernie and Ellie will display our harvest gifts ready for our Harvest Festival Service on Sunday 4th October.
The service on Sunday morning at 10.30am, led by Pastor Julie, will be a family worship, a celebration of harvest and our Church anniversary (98 years!) and we hope for a full Church.
After the service on Sunday morning we will be selling the produce and all proceeds from this and the coffee morning will go the charity WaterAid.

Dear all
Harvest is the chance to stop, consider and thank God for all His goodness to us. This year we have seen the impact of a lack of water, the grass became brown and Tony’s vegetables didn’t grow. But that was OK as the supermarkets had plenty of food, but imagine if your livelihood depended on the food you grew.
This is the reality for the vast majority of those who live in Africa and parts of the Middle East including India and Bangladesh. Water is so important and that is why our charity for this Harvest is WaterAid, water for food, but also water to keep people clean and free from germs.
Jesus said He was ‘Living Water’ as He spoke to the Samaritan woman at the well. He is the One who can help us grow, into the best that we can be, He always nourishes us, He gives us health and strength and cleanses and renews us. He changed the ordinary water in the water jars into the best wine ever, changing us from that which is ordinary and making us the best we can be.
Let us celebrate, worship and give thanks to God for water and for being the ‘Living Water’ for us.
