Enderby Youth Band Concert a huge success!

On Saturday 24th March Blaby Congregational Church welcomed the Award winning Enderby Youth Band. The Audience of 64 people enjoyed a wide range of musical pieces from marches and Hymn tunes to swing and popular classics.

Several pieces featured soloists on instruments as diverse as the Drums, Trombone, Tenor Horn and Cornet.

The repertoire included:

  • March: Castell Coch by T.J. Powell

  • Worcester Cathedral by Phillip Sparke

  • Tenor Horn Solo: Make you feel my love by Bob Dylan

  • A Sunrise Impression by Jan Haan

  • Mack the Knife by Kurt Weill

  • Hymn tune: Meditation on Angelus

  • Cornet solo: Close every door (from Joseph)

  • Selection: West Country Fantasy arr. Gordon Langford

  • Spirit of Brass by Gavin Somerset

  • Selection: West Country fantasy arr. Alan Fernie

  • Bass solo: The Hippopotamus song

  • Mad World by Roland Orzabel

  • Drum Kit feature: Kit of Fun by Gavin Somerset

  • Viva la Vida by Coldplay

  • Life on Mars arr. Frank Bernaerts for David Bowie

  • Starlight
